The Amazing Race 7: Nice guys don’t always finish last
After a tumultous season of backstabbing, deceit, squabbles, shaky alliances and taxi-stealing moments, the sweet and popular married couple Uchenna and Joyce have emerged as winners of The Amazing Race. Having had to begin the final leg of the race without a cent to their name, Uchenna and Joyce battled their way to the finish line, beating Survivors Rob and Amber and the constantly-bickering Ex-POW/Beauty pageant queen duo Ron and Kelly. The turning point arrived when Uchenna and Joyce managed to get onboard a plane at Puerto Rico that barely left for Miami with Rob and Amber already firmly strapped to their seats. The Survivor couple, almost probably counting their million-dollar eggs before they hatch, were stupefied upon discovering their rivals entering the plane at the eleventh hour. Ultimately, it wasn’t going to be one in the pocket for them. With that development, he three-way race of the last leg whittled down to a two-way fight instead, as Ron and Kelly were unofficially tossed out of the competition having missed that flight to Miami, a result of a costly directional blunder on the roads of Puerto Rico. Blah blah blah blah and to cut the long story short…… Who says that nice guys always finish last?
