It’s a great movie that’s really really funny. With a title like this you’d think it would be a one note toilet humour kind of movie, but it isn’t. It goes for as many jokes as possible, crude or otherwise, and builds a decent plot and great characters. I’m not entirely certain that all of it will pass censors, but it is M18 so I’m guessing (or hoping, at least) that the movie remains uncut. From the same guy who also created the late, lamented Freaks and Geeks television show.
Also, Kat Dennings who plays Marla the teenaged daughter of Trish (Catherine Keener), Andy’s (Steve Carrell) love interest is kinda hot.
“AHHH!!! KELLY CLARKSON!!!”. Comedy gold.
And no, it’s not a movie about my life in seventeen years time.
At least, I don’t think it is.
After two seasons of letting black teams win the contest, CBS decided to show their true colours and their racist stance by having the only black team in the Amazing Race be the first to be eliminated. And the name of the team? The Black family. That’s right. Right on some Niggar Family shit, ala the Chappelle’s Show. What better way to show the superiority of the white man than by letting black people named Black lose? It’s time people realise that when CBS decided to name their reality television contest the Amazing Race, they meant the Caucasian race. Down with the racist suits at CBS! We got to stick it to the man!
Power to the people!
* NOTE: Of course I’m kidding. Sheesh. Seemed awfully suspicious though didn’t it, hmm? Anyway, this season seems to be off to a good start, and the family concept doesn’t seem to be dragging it down. I think I’ll enjoy this. Also, I think Stassi from the Schroeder family is kinda cute.
I was looking through all the pictures in my computer and came across this gem of a picture.
Wooo! PARTAY! Let it be known that this is the price of fame, Najib. When you join the next Singapore Idol and reach the finals, this picture will probably make every local publication in the country with the headline: Najib actually 4 years older than he says he is!
Ah 25th Jan 1994. Good times. Good times. And in case you didn’t get it, the timestamp on the picture is wrong. It was taken more like around end of 1998.
This my friends, is the result of a last minute video assignment for our Visual Effects module during our Multimedia Software Engineering course (now known as Multimedia Technology) while in Singapore Polytechnic. Oh and when I say ‘our’ I mean Farhan, Raizan, Shah, Andy and I.
Our group was the last to actually even start working on it. We shot the whole thing in two days I think and just spent the rest of the time editing. It’s pretty amateurish. Production standard is quite low actually. Not enough lighting in some scenes and also the audio quality is just bad. The voiceover narration can be improved as well. But all in all, I have to say we are actually quite proud of it. We’re actually planning to redo ALL the audio for the video. Less popping and clearer. Also we’re hoping to get our resident writer, Zhaki, to rewrite the narration to be more concise and hopefully funnier or something. Unfortunately we’ve lost the source video so we can’t salvage the video quality which totally sucks.
Nonetheless, the UsDudes have tons of ideas for new shorts and spoofs. The only thing holding us back is well, we don’t have a digital camcorder. I’m working on changing that though so stay tuned for that. In the mean time though, please enjoy our short film, Project Loser. Oh and please be kind with your comments. The short was made in 2001 so it’s 4 years old.
A Singaporean scientist is the first person in the world to develop an affordable form of instantaneous teleportation. Teleportation, which refers to the moving of objects from one location to another almost instantaneously and without the use of conventional transportation, had previously only been the realm of science fiction but no more. While successful attempts at teleportation have been made in the past, only light particles have been involved.
