I AM the next SG IDOL

So here I am, The Talented Mr. Najib, making an announcement that I will be attempting to become the very FIRST “NEXT Singapore Idol”, a prestigious title Taufik could never lay claim to! Yes, I will beat the odds by becoming the very FIRST “NEXT Singapore Idol” who is also a man, of Malay heritage and sings with a hint of R n B (although I would rather consider myself “Adult Contemporary”.) What’s more, I write my own songs too so that I hope that gives me more bargaining power as an artiste.

As announced earlier at MakDaud’s on X’mas Eve, I am nearing completion of my very first self-produced EP that contains 4 original pieces, all of which I’ve written and composed. I wonder if my friends would like the songs, but it doesn’t really matter because they’re my songs and there’ll be fans and there’ll be non-fans. I AM my own biggest critic after all. This project stemmed from a thought and a dream, then turning into something very real, with motivation from my gal pal Yati, whom I’ve been great friends with since poly days. Whether the record sells or not, hey at least I explored the possibilities and that’s pure satisfaction for me. It really takes a lot of effort, passion and motivation to do something out of the box, but it can be done if you really put your heart and mind to it like I did for this project.

Well, Sg Idol here I come. And I’ll be singing my own composition because I dare to be different. And hopefully I make it through! Anyone care to accompany me in the queue??

I AM BAACKKK..Do the hustle!

Hi boys and girls, it feels so good to be back here posting up something here again…As you guys know I’ve been awfully busy with my job and have missed out commenting on so many reality TV shows!! Luckily, my groovy pal Zak filled in although his insights weren’t half as FABulous!! But applause to the grooovy dude no less!! *Do the hustle* I’ll be back Babies, with MORRRE reality!! Till then, stay GROOOVVYY!! And of course, Merry Christmas To Kim n Kerry and all my groovy babies!!

Site Update

Okay, so as you can see, the site got updated into something weird….

But i’m doing this because i keep waiting til i think i’ll have enough time to actually update the site in one shot. But I never seem to be able to find the time to update it in one go…. so i’m going to do it in parts….

So this is the first part… upgraded to the latest version of wordpress… and switched the template for the moment…

Will continue doing this for the next week or so.. I expect to finish by next Sunday. In the mean time, just hang in there.

Excuses, excuses, excuses

Halo ppl!!! noe I hav’nt been to MakDauds in weeks, & I ain’nt comin 2nite, so eres the boring excuse for a reason why: I sorta quit my job and me last days on 31st Dec.

Rite now, me bosses and colleagues are buggin me, and I gotta motherload of work to clear before I go. So just like 2 weeks ago, I will be goin to office on Sunday mornin to clear the work. Eres the thing - I can’t work on Sat coz me boss works on Sat and keeps buggering me for the most mundane and irrelavent things. On Sunday, I take the 5:30 train get in and do as much as I can, before the same workaholic boss usually comes in about 1-2pm. (Yes, Sunday…) Now, being half asleep on Sun morn ain’t goin get me nowhere in the Acct/Shippin Dept docs.

Why is it I care so much bout the motherload of work??? (more…)
