Here’s something interesting. The Pussycat Doll’s “Don’t Cha” is actually a remake. The original was recorded by a Tori Alamaze and it actually made it to #58 on the Billboard Hot 100 Singles Chart, although nothing came out of Alamaze’s career after that and she was subsequently dropped by her label. The song was then rerecorded by the Pussycat Dolls. And the reason why Cee-Lo (ex-Goodie Mob) is in the video is because he wrote the song and produced both versions. Now to try imagine a fat black bald dude singing Don’t Cha. Also, the chorus borrows from a Sir Mix A Lot song.
